Mills in Altoaragón

Aguas

Aguas is a small village in the Hoya de Huesca region. It is easily reached from the main roads (N-240 or A-22) between Barbastro and Huesca. Once in Aguas follow the signs for Panzano (A-1227). After about 2.5 km You'll reach a narrow bend where the road crosses the Calcón river. Just before the river a dirt track leaves to the left (northwest). Walk about 300 m northwest (track and clearing in the woods) until you find the humble construction shown in (1).

(1) Site of the former mill

The building itself may never have been a mill. There's certainly nothing to suggest it was: partially built of adobe, with no openings, and no trace of waterworks.
But next to the building (right in photo 1) are remains of old walls (2) and also a lower area where the water may have been drained. Unfortunately, everything is overgrown with dense shrubs and it is difficult to be certain.
