Mill stones in Alto Aragón

Fiscal

Fiscal is situated near Ordesa National Park. Find Fiscal on the main road between L'Ainsa and Broto – Torla. From the mainroad cross the river towards the village centre. You are on the Avenida de Jesús. Then walk to the left towards the Parque Infantil (children's playground) for the first stone. • For the second stone follow first the signs for Borrastre and then from the bridge over the Barranco de San Salvador follow the canal which crosses the same barranco next to the bridge. Beware: the second stone is on private property.

(2) Second runner stone. Presumably from the mill of San Juste, a nucleus nearby †.

† None of our maps shows a mill in San Juste. However, Pascual Madoz in his Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar (Tomo IX published in 1847) writes La ind. conocida es tan solo la agrícola y un molino harinero. (p. 670)
