| Henri Nestlé (born in Germany in 1814) came
to Switzerland in 1843. He concocted an acclaimed baby food formula and later
developed a popular brand of condensed milk. He sold his company in 1875. His
successors transformed the Nestlé company to the present giant. |

At the end of the 1980s retailers in Senegal
purchased powdered milk in sacs of several kgs. The consumer got
the product in smaller quantities of less than 50 grs packed in
whatever recipient available.
Vitalait became a success after the Satrec company started to
sell the product prepacked in aluminum in the popular (break-fast) quantity of
22.5 grs |
