Falling rocks in India

Rajasthan India; XI.1999;
pict. H. De Meyer
India's rock-signs don't show any trace the colonial past. There is no similarity between British and Indian signs. (We have seen it otherwise in Iran and Southern Africa f.e.)

The colour choice deviates from the common scheme: red borderline with black cliff and boulders. It's all red. Maybe to stress the danger?

Note the variability in the number of boulders. We do count 13, 9, and 10 on this small sample alone and our team-member on the road is telling us about many more examples that are waiting for another sampling action.

The number of stones is more than in most countries: very few like Peru, Chile and the unbeatable Philippines have more. Show me the rock-stats
